The QualiSearch Journal of Educational Research and Practice (QJERP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal that publishes scholarly work in education and related interdisciplinary fields. The journal is published monthly by the QualiSearch Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Development, an independent academic and research organization based in the Philippines.
All manuscripts must be submitted exclusively through the official QJERP online submission portal. Submissions sent via email are not accepted.
QJERP publishes research that contributes to educational theory, practice, and policy. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
Educational leadership and governance
Teaching, learning, and instructional innovation
Curriculum development and assessment
Inclusive and special education
Teacher education and professional development
Educational technology and digital learning
Education policy and reform
Interdisciplinary research with clear educational relevance
The journal accepts:
Original Research Articles (qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods)
Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses
Conceptual or Theoretical Papers
Policy Analyses or Policy Briefs
Program Evaluation or Action Research Studies
Case Studies
Submissions derived from theses or dissertations must be substantially revised to meet journal publication standards.
Manuscripts must:
Follow the IMRAD structure (Introduction, Methodology, Results, and Discussion), with Conclusion and References
Be written in clear academic English
Follow APA 7th edition formatting
Typically range from 6,000–7,000 words (excluding references and appendices)
Each submission must include:
An abstract of 200–250 words
Three to five keywords
Where applicable, manuscripts must clearly indicate:
Ethical approval
Informed consent procedures
Authors must ensure that:
The manuscript is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere
All listed authors meet accepted authorship criteria (substantial contribution, drafting/revision, approval of final version, and accountability)
All co-authors have reviewed and approved the submission
Redundant publication, plagiarism, and data fabrication or falsification are strictly prohibited.
Authors must upload the following:
Main Manuscript (anonymized, .doc or .docx format)
Title Page (author names, affiliations, email addresses, and ORCID iDs, if available)
Ethics approval documentation (if applicable)
Failure to comply with submission requirements may result in return or rejection prior to review.
All submissions undergo:
Initial editorial screening (scope, formatting, and similarity checking)
Double-blind peer review by at least two independent expert reviewers who are not part of the journal’s editorial staff
Editorial decision based on reviewer recommendations
Possible decisions include: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
Submission does not guarantee acceptance.
The peer review process typically takes 2–6 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and revision timelines.
Authors may use AI tools for:
Language editing
Grammar correction
Formatting support
However:
AI tools must not be used to generate, fabricate, or manipulate data, results, or references
AI systems cannot be listed as authors
Any substantive use of AI must be clearly disclosed in the manuscript
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their work.
QJERP adheres to the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics.
The journal has procedures for handling:
Plagiarism
Citation manipulation
Data falsification or fabrication
Authorship disputes
Allegations of misconduct are investigated following established ethical guidelines, and appropriate actions may include rejection, correction, or retraction.
QJERP charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) of ₱5,000 per accepted manuscript.
Payment is required only after formal acceptance
The APC supports peer review management, editorial processing, and publication
There are no submission fees
Payment does not influence editorial decisions
Authors retain copyright of their work and grant QJERP the right of first publication.
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits use, distribution, and reproduction provided proper attribution is given.
Licensing information is indicated in both the HTML and PDF versions of each published article.
QJERP is a member of Crossref. All published articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to ensure persistent linking and citation tracking.
The journal is indexed in Google Scholar.
All articles are published in full-text format and are freely accessible on the journal website.
